You can also experiment with different thicknesses by creating more or fewer copies. At lower zoom levels, the arrow keys nudge objects by more than one pixel — the exact amount varies depending on the zoom percentage. In the Layers sidebar, select all 27 of the duplicated layers and make sure to leave the 28th text layer — the bottom one — unselected.

To select all those layers, click to select the layer just above the bottom text layer and then Shift —click the top text layer. After that, Control —click the selected layers and choose Unite Shapes. Finally, Control —click the new united layer and choose Merge Shape Components. Name this new layer Cloud Burst, then, drag and drop it below the Groovy layer. Pixelmator sets a new standard for photo editing on iPhone and iPad with a suite of staggeringly powerful tools.

Really love the new keyboard and trackpad support—really makes it feel like a pro app. Thanks for fixing the issues with selection editing with the keyboard too! As some of the other reviews mentioned, the UI is definitely a little clunky especially on big iPad screens—especially the two modal screens you have to go through to choose a specific brush or selection type. Would love to have a tool sidebar kind of like the desktop Pixelmator app! A nice little bonus would be to have enhanced pointer shapes with brushes, erasers, etc.

With the Eraser Tool E , start deleting the right side of each letter in order to add a 3D effect to the type. Use 20 pixels for the Radius. Next, change the Blending to Screen. Use 25 for the Amount. Check out the image below for a reference.

I used 2 old paper textures using Multiply for the Blending. One of them, the darkest one, will stay in front of the other layers while the other one will stay in front of the gradient layer only. Use black and white for the color. Then change the Blending to Color Dodge. Add another layer and fill it with white.

Use 2 for the Width and for the Sharpness. After that, change the Blending to Color Dodge. Download p HD version.

A new pixelmator tutorial after several months waiting. So sorry for the delay, I have a lot of other projects going on that needed my attention first.
